Car Seats:

Arielle will soon be going to a new car seat. I've done a lot of research and asked a lot of questions - I have learned SO much!

I just can't believe how many parents are uninformed or even misinformed about car seat safety. Many think that they should forward face their little ones to prevent leg injuries but that is not a good reason to forward face. In fact children who forward face are more likely to have leg injuries:

And while some children may be slightly uncomfortable when they are tall and reaching the maximum weight limit rear facing in their seat - I think safety is more important than slight discomfort - after all - seat belts aren't comfortable either. And here is a video that shows that many children can be comfortable and happy rear facing:

Photo shoot....

First bath together

I finally got the nerve to take the pink baby bath out of the tub and let Arielle sit on her own with big brother there. Didn't go so well that time - but went OK the next two times since :)

Andrew and Layla's birthday

Layla took turns dancing with the other
children - they looked like they really
knew how to swing dance!

Layla in her dress after I made a few
alterations to it so it would not hang
off of her so much - much better!

We got Layla a princess dress and
Andrew a pair of walkie-talkies!
